Workshops

The high-quality workshops comprehend a lot of tips and tricks of Gospel – Experts. Every Participant of Gospelkirchentag is accredited to join the workshop and get inspired of gospel music.  No further experiences are necessary to join. Number of participants is reduced. Pre-registration in the Internet (www.gospelkirchentag.de/workshops) is required for better planning but does not guarantee participation.

Ecumenical Karlsruhe Gospel Night

Friday Night 20 Gospel festivals with 80 Gospel choirs from all over Europe will take place all over the city in churches and other venues. 
Perform with your own Gospel choir or experience this highlight to sing along and celebrate as a guest.

The Band without Band – fascinating and spectacular! Naturally 7 do not sing without instruments but their voices act as instruments. With their vocal play the seven New Yorker are successful all over the world, even had a Number – One – Hit in Germany, they were at “Wetten , dass…?”featuring Sarah Conner. These days the US-Americans are on a world tour with Michael Buble. Special about them: The have their roots in church, in Gospel! Naturally 7 will make the Gala concert an A-Capella firework!

Oslo Gospel Choir (N)

Since over 20 years Oslo Gospel Choir is one of the most successful and abiding Gospel formations. The Norwegian Gospel Choir has a magnetic effect on the audience in Germany as in other European Countries. And steadily fills the venues. The songs of this choir, which mostly arise from the famous Choir leader Tore W. Aas, are a constant component in many Gospel choirs. At Gospelkirchentag the Choir will present the current program including brand new and common songs!

Hans Christian Jochimsen (DK)

Before Gospelkirchentag 2008 in Hannover he was an insider tip – in his home country the Gospel Expert has been the Number One in years. In Copenhagen the studied concert pianist leads four Gospel Choirs with all-up 1000 singers and s children choir. In Germany as in other European Countried Hans Christian is an often booked  workshop leader. With his very special pedagogy, really much humor and an enormous gift to inspire people Hans Christian Jochimsen will as one of the Mass Choir leaders give the Gospelkirchentag a great format.

Helmut Jost (D)

Without hesitation Helmut Jost can be designated as part of the roots of the Christian music scene in Germany. Already in the 70´s and 80´s he has been on tour all over Europe. During the last years Jost has focused on Gospel choir leading and workshop leading. His songs are famous in the scene. The albums “Gospelfire”, “Gospel Celebration” and “Send a Revival” are existential songs of Gospel Music. As another leader of the Mass Choir, Helmut Jost will shape Gospelkrichentag with new songs.

Stavanger Gospel Choir

Scandinavia does deliver a lot of quality about Gospel. With Stavanger Gospel Choir Gospelkirchentag welcomes another top-class Choir. Even the choir is one of the most famous in its region - It will be the first time to come to Germany for them. We are looking forward to meet a choir which has been founded already in 1988 and now is leaded by Mads Pedersen. The Choir will exclusive perform their own songs and arrangements.

Dieter Falk

With the Pop-Oratorium “Die 10 Gebote” , which he developed in cooperation with Michael Kunze, Dieter Falk just came back to choir scene. Concerning Gospel the top-producer turns back to his roots – as a youngster Falk lead a Gospel Choir. In Karlsruhe Falk will teach the Mass Choir one of the songs of “Die 10 Gebote”.
